Small Business Executive Certificate Program
The Morehouse Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center (MIEC) in partnership with the Airport Minority Advisory Council and our Sponsor: Access for Capital for Entrepreneurs launched the MIEC Small Business Executive Program – Airport Concessionaires Accelerator Program.
The 2-month Accelerator Program launched on May 8th and is designed to develop a pipeline of diverse small businesses interested in launching Airport Concessions.
- Secured 596 Contracts
- Impacted 411 small businesses
- Created and sustained 1154 jobs
- Generated $255,000,000 in revenues
- Raised $35,400,00 in capital
MENTOR-PROTEGE PROGRAM
The MIEC, under the Department of Defense (DoD) Mentor-Protégé Program, provides developmental assistance to small technology growth companies. As a key member of mentoring teams consisting of faculty, students and subject matter experts, the MIEC delivers organizational infrastructure training and contract management support to small protege businesses located geographically across the United States. Over the past 15 years, the MIEC has:
- Partnered with over 17 Mentor companies
- Assisted over 80 Protégé companies
- Generated revenue of over $17M
- Reinvested $4.8M back into the program
In recognition of the excellence achieved in the Mentor-Protégé Program, the MIEC has been awarded 11 Nunn-Perry Awards.
